Logan at 6 Months

This had been a big month for you Logan! You have been busy growing by leaps and bounds.

You were grabbing everything we would be eating and really reaching out for food. Since it was close to your 6 month make I decided to try giving you some real good. You weren't too impressed with the solid food. I think you were mostly still figuring out exactly how to grip it and hold it to your mouth. That's tricky stuff!

First solid foods!

So I decided to try some rice cereal mixed with breast milk and you've been loving that so far. We do a small serving of that at dinner now and you eat it all up! Steven never cared much for the cereal but you open your mouth right up and fuss a bit if I try to leave while feeding you. Guess you are a growing boy!

You really didn't love the sweet potatoes. LOL

You mastered a big skill this moby, sitting up unassisted. Your daddy worked with you one morning and you finally got it! You had been getting close for a while but couldn't quite get the balance right to keep from falling over. But now you've got it!

So big!
Daddy also took some selfies because he was so excited! ha ha
Selfies with daddy!
It's so fun to see you sitting up like a big boy. You can really interact with your brother better this way too. Which is do great because he just cracks you up like crazy.

Goofballs
On the subject of your brother you are loving hanging out with him lately. You get really distracted when nursing if he is jumping around like a mad man. You strain your head and neck to watch him. You pretty much follow him around the room by moving your head and neck whenever you can.

Since you are getting more interactive, Steven is loving it. He requests to play with you and shows you toys (and takes them from you sometimes). You just love attention from your big bro. You will laugh and smile and giggle at him. It's so sweet and melts my heart to see the relationship blooming between you two.

Besides eating some solids and sitting up this month you've pretty much mastered sleeping through the night as well. You have occasional nights where you'll cry but we know something must be off because you usually sleep from when we put you down around 8pm to 6am. I LOVE that. Thank you so much Logan. Mommy really appreciates it.

Happy boy!
All month I just keep pinching myself with how good of a baby you are. You are so chill and roll with the punches. You are content usually to sit in your bouncer or to play near where we are doing something. You don't hardly ever fuss and you do so well putting yourself to sleep. We are so blessed to have you in our lives.

Logan at 3 Months

Three months old already, little man! This past month with you has been so much fun! You're little personality has started to show all the time and it's so sweet. You are just the cuddliest, happiest boy lately! You give big smiles and big belly laughs now! You prefer to be held and love it when someone picks you up. You cuddle right into them and it's super sweet. You prefer to be held upright though and you usually make that known!

You've started really interacting with your environment this month and it is so much fun to see you developing those skills. You will follow mommy around the room with your head and eyes if I set you down. I've even caught you doing that with big brother too! Watching him run around like a crazy man can make your head spin!

You've started smiling like crazy! You do it all the time now and your favorite place is on the diaper changing table. You always smile big up at me when I set down you there. You love to be silly with me while I change your diaper and you give me some big smiles in anticipation of the silliness. This month I found out you are super ticklish under your chin and armpits and that is SO cute. You will give a big belly laugh or giggle when I tickle you there. It's adorable!

Silly goose!
This month you have really stepped up your cooing and making other noises. We can sit and have "conversations" where I coo back at you and you return it with another noise. We can go on like that for several minutes. You have also started blowing bubbles and making gurgly noises, all of which are language development so I think you'll be a talker like your bro and mom!

That face! So sweet.
When I set you down in your swing or bouncer you have started batting at the toys hanging or grabbing at the things within your reach there. It is awesome to see you developing these skills. You still hate tummy time but we are trying to do it so your neck can get strong. It's pretty strong already and you hold your head up all the time. You started pushing up with your legs this month and you are pretty strong there too!

We had your first Christmas this month and it was so fun! You were pretty sick (more on that later) but it was really sweet to have you here for Christmas. I can't wait to see you and your brother next year when you are able to enjoy it more.

Sweet boy

This month we had your first major sickness when you got RSV. Your brother brought it home and we all got it. It was super sad to hear you coughing and gagging, especially at night. Yuck! We ended up in the hospital because you weren't breathing correctly, stopped eating well and got a fever. Scared your mommy! That was not a fun 4 days at St. Lukes but you got great care and I'm so glad we were there. After we went home we still had some sleepless nights and some nights of sleeping on and off holding you up right but you are mostly better now. That is a good thing because I did not like to see you feeling so bad and I'm sure you didn't like feeling that way either.

Such a cute patient.
So you are 3 months old now, little man. You are getting stronger every day and paying more attention to the world around you. We had your first Christmas and hopefully will have a much healthier one next year!
Twinkies!
We just love you so much, Logan!

Mom of 2

Someone asked me on FB the other day if I had any words of wisdom being a mom of 2. I thought I could put together some thoughts on what worked well for us preparing Steven for the arrival of Logan and also what's been working since he's been here. There's a ton of good articles online about how to prepare for a sibling and how to stay sane with a newborn and a toddler. I read a few of those so most of this is advice we liked from various articles (like this one or this one) and in talking to other people who have multiple kiddos.

Preparation:
(What we did to prepare Steven for the arrival of his sibling)

We had to do the transition to the big boy bed so that Logan could have the nursery when he was born. We did this several months in advance (like 5 months) so that Steven wouldn't feel like he was losing his old room but gaining a much cooler new room. We involved Steven in decorating his room and got him really excited about it and I think all of that really helped with this transition. We also talked a lot about being a "big boy" and sleeping in his "big boy bed" etc. Those were all good things too I think.

To prepare for the baby, we read several books with Steven about getting a sibling and I think that really helped solidify it for him. Some books I would recommend (they had big sister versions too):
The New Baby by Mercer Mayer
Just Me and My Little Brother by Mercer Mayer
I'm a Big Brother by Joanna Cole

We talked with him a lot about what will happen when the baby comes and that he will still be "special" to us and we will love him just as much. We also talked a lot about being a "big boy". What big boys get to do that babies don't get to do, etc. He seemed to really like that idea because he repeated often, "I'm not the baby, I'm the big boy."

Before Logan was born Steven was a bit of a momma's boy, preferring me to put him to bed, carry him around, etc. We really wanted to try to break him of some of this before the baby came because obviously he would have to rely on Daddy more as I would be nursing Logan and we didn't want to have to do that transition at the same time. So we worked on strengthening the relationship between Steven and Daddy months ahead of time. Steve took Steven to several outings (Magic House, Zoo, Park, etc.) by themselves and I think that really helped and they had a great time (and I got a nap;). Steve also started putting Steven to bed and at first that was difficult, but in the end I think that really helped to strengthen their bond.

I also read online to get the baby's stuff (swing, car seat, diapers, etc) out before he is born so the sibling can inspect it all and get the curiosity out of their system before you actually need to use it. Also, since its mostly hand me downs we had to talk with Steven about how he was done with his baby things and now Logan was going to use them. And big boys don't need diapers, baby swings, etc.

Before the baby was born I did some things to prepare our family for after the baby was here/newborn stage such as deep clean, make and freeze easy meals (by making double meals when I cooked mostly), preparing easy crock pot meals to freeze, setting up a plan for how to take care of Steven while we were in the hospital, etc. I also made a few "bins" for Steven and daddy to play with while I was nursing. They had some random toys (mostly from the dollar store) and ideas for crafts and activities to keep them busy. I also made a sensory bin from macaroni noodles and random little things I found around the house. That's been a big hit. Another thing we did was to schedule some one-on-one time for Steven right after the baby was born. We signed Steven and daddy up for truck day at the Magic House so they would have something special to go to and also for soccer. Just so he would have some special one-on-one time with us so he didn't feel like he was losing our attention or replaced or whatever.

Transition:
(Some things we found helpful when the baby was born to help Steven adjust)

When the grandparents brought Steven up to the hospital we had a few little presents for him so he wouldn't feel like he wasn't getting any attention. We also had bought a baby doll for him previously so he had a "baby" to take care of too. And we had him pick out a present to give to the baby ahead of time and let him give it to the baby at that time. I had read online to have someone else holding the baby when big brother shows up but I don't know if that really mattered because he ran right by me to see the baby. Lol

Steven is a typical (I hope) 2 year old boy who likes to run around, wrestle and generally be rough. So we did a lot of talking about being gentle with the baby and practicing gentle touches, etc. I found its not really helpful to say "No, don't do that" but instead to tell Steven what he can do with the baby. For example I could tell him that he can touch the baby's hands and feet instead just of telling him not to touch his head.

Having a newborn and a toddler is really a delicate balance. We wanted Steven to love his brother and were really happy that he was so "into" the baby. But at the same time he was also a little too rough and was in the baby's face sometimes, or waking him up when he was sleeping. We didn't want to discourage Steven's interest all together or make him resent the baby so some good advice I got from my mother in law (who has 5 kids) was to give him a job to do. Have him go get you something for the baby, have him sing a song to the baby. Basically have him help in a way that is age appropriate (even if you don't need the help). This has really worked out great for us and you can totally see Steven's face beaming when you tell him he's helped his brother.

Speaking of sibling bonding, Steve and I both really thought this was a good article about how to foster that relationship. We try to do a lot of the things that article suggests.

That's all I can really think of at this time. I'm sure we will continue to learn a ton as it goes on but those are some tips I can share right now.

Maternity Leave So Far

I'm about halfway through my maternity leave with Logan (sniffle) so I thought I'd recap what I've been up to so far. Maternity leave this time feels really different for some reason. I'm not sure if it's because I had a much easier recovery from this birth or because I've done this before but its much more laid back this time. I'm finding myself consciously trying to savor little moments with my new man because I know just how fast it all goes by.

Another thing that's different this time is that I know I'm going back to work at the end of this. It doesn't seem as daunting as it was last time for some reason. I'm still sad and I still wish I had another 3 months or so off with Logan but I'm not dreading it everyday like I was with Steven. It could also be that I'm too busy this time around too.

Anyway, what have we been up to? Lots and lots of family time! It's been so nice to have a lot of time with family. One of the first weeks after he was born, Matt (Steve's brother) and Ruty came in town with Micah (who was only just born on July 4th). So that was a nice surprise! It was too fun to have 2 little babies like that in one place. I'm really excited for them to grow up as cousins being so close in age. That will be really fun!

2 Cuties!

Besides that family visit we have seen a ton of both of our families in the past few weeks. We have gone to birthday dinners at the Riegerixes for Steve's dad and mom as well as an anniversary dinner. We also had a brunch at our house when Dan, Meghan and Willow came in town to meet Logan. Whew, that's a lot! We've gotten to spend a ton of time with my family as well and that's always fun. My aunt Jan came in town once and we got to visit. So it's been great seeing so much of our families. Logan's a lucky dude.

There's been somewhat of a baby boom in our family lately. My cousin, Kris had a baby girl, Emelia Grace, about 2 weeks before me. Kris and I are only about a year apart in age so this is really fun that we have babies so close in age too! My mom and I took a trip up to Rochester, IL to Kris's house to meet Miss Emelia. She's such a cutie. It will be really fun to watch her and Logan grow up as well.

Another thing we've been doing a lot of is hanging around the house! It's so nice to be able to cuddle my baby all day. He's been doing a lot of this (napping) but unfotunately not mommy so much. Everytime I try to take a nap with him he won't stay asleep. But it seems that he will sleep for everyone else! Go figure!
Little Angel :)
But while we've been hanging around the house I've been catching up on all the TV I've wanted to watch for like the past 2 years! Ha ha! We don't have cable and haven't really watched much TV in the past few years (been kinda busy ;). So it's been fun catching up on shows I wanted to watch. Here are a few that I've watched and enjoyed so far: Homeland, Scandal, The Big C, Parenthood, Parks and Recreation, Walking Dead (with Steve),  Orange is the New Black. Ones that I plan to get into still during my maternity leave are: Girls (heard it was good, we'll see), Downton Abbey,  and House of Cards. Probably my favorite of those has been Homeland. That show had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! Every episode was crazy. I also really enjoyed and am enjoying Scandal (thanks for the recommendation, Mom).

Steve and I have been doing some fun family stuff on weekends while I'm on leave as well. We went to the zoo with Steven and Logan on a nice day earlier in October. Funny story about this trip to the zoo. This was the first time we busted out the Moby for Logan. We had used it a TON with Steven and thought we were old pros. Nope! We seriously spent 10 minutes in the zoo parking lot googling how to wrap him in it! Ha ha! But once we remembered it was like riding a bike ;)

Seriously he loves birds, this was the best pic I could get!
Sea Lion Exhibit = Way cool!

Since it's getting to be the holiday season, Logan and I have spent a good amount of time running errands, doing some Christmas shopping, etc. He didn't make a peep running errands for the first few weeks. Now it's hit or miss. We went to the outlet malls with my mom for like 3 hours and he was great the whole time. Only cried at the very end when he was hungry. But lately when I take him anywhere he cries immediately. Those babies! Hard to get anything done but I still try. :)

This kid!
We spent one afternoon visiting daddy at his work. I had not been there yet to meet anyone and they were so kind to give us a few little gifts for Logan and Steven so we wanted to meet everyone. Steve's co-workers were super nice and even a few bravely held Logan. Some of the younger guys looked like we had 3 heads and were like "heck no!" when we asked if they wanted to hold him. Ha ha! But some of the older people with kids really enjoyed it. I got to meet Steve's boss too and she seemed very nice. It was a good visit!
Daddy's cube.
Logan and I also visited my work and met some of my co-workers. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of that visit but we had a good time. We went to lunch with my friend Jenn too so that was very fun! (Logan loves to go out to lunch ;)

Steve, the boys and I spent a fun day at the Magic House as well. Steven loves that place I think. There's always something new to discover. He loves playing with all the kids there too. This trip he wanted to do the big slide, something he has always been to scared to do! That was very neat. I tried to get a picture of him going down it but this was the best I could do. I'm so proud of my brave boy!
The Blur!

So we've been having a lot of fun so far! Lots of stuff to keep us busy. But mostly just chillin with this dude. Can you blame me?

Logan's Nursery Reveal

Now that Logan's here I assume you are dying to know whether his nursery is done. Well it is! Yay! It was finished a few days before he was born but hey, who's counting!? I mentioned my inspiration in this post so here is the final result. I'm really happy with how it turned out and BIG PROPS to my mother in law, Kathleen, who went crazy sewing and creating things for the nursery. Logan's a lucky guy!

Kathleen found some space themed fabric on a trip to Branson so she bought a whole bunch of it. Out of that fabric she made Logan curtains, a bed skirt and quilted a blanket! It all goes with the room so well. I'm so lucky to know someone so talented.

She also used the fabric for the top of the awesome mobile she made for Logan. The curtains and mobile are pictured below:

Here's a close up of the mobile. Isn't is awesome? Kathleen embroidered those rocket ships and the piece in the center that says, "I love you to the moon and back." (Which also glows in the dark! Awesome!)

You can see my humble attempt to decorate with some frames in the back of this pic.

I ordered the prints from Etsy in my inspiration post and framed them in some simple white frames I had leftover. I really love them and they look great over the changing table. You can also kind of see on the right wall some glow in the dark decals I got from Target and hung around the room. They are really neat too.

This is my favorite print. Dunno why the picture is so crooked. I blame the photographer. ;)

More of the glow in the dark decals. They look really neat lit up at night. I also redid the clock I had in Steven's room with those decals.

Easy project!
Kathleen did an amazing job with the ideas I gave her. She made this awesome rocket ship banner for over Logan's crib. I loved the banner she made for Steven's wall and wanted Logan to have one too. I just gave her a picture and she came up with all of this. It's so cool!

Close up of the rocketship.
When I originally took the pictures for this post I didn't have the detail below so you won't see it in the overview pics. My good friend, Jamie made this canvas for Logan. Isn't that so sweet? It looks great in his room.

Isn't this cool?
Well that's Logan's finished "outer spaced theme" nursery. I think it turned out really great and I hope he enjoys it as much as I do!

He's Here!!

Logan Garrett arrived Tuesday, October 1st at 2:13 am. Steve, Steven and I are so happy to have him here! He was a big boy weighing 9lbs 3oz and 22 inches long! Even bigger than his big brother!

Baby Logan!

First family pic of us 3!
We are all doing really great! Steven has taken to his brother so quickly and is SO sweet with him. He loves to help and take care of Logan and snuggle his baby brother. Every morning he wants to know "Where is my baby?" and give Logan a kiss. It's the sweetest thing to watch! At first we had some problems with Steven understanding being gentle or accidentally being rough, but everyday is getting better and I really think it is going great!

Big brother was SO happy!
I'm doing awesome too. I was so nervous to have a painful delivery and recovery like I did with Steven but this time was SO much easier and I have felt really great almost right away. I was up and walking later that day and have really felt pretty great since. Its amazing the difference in how I feel this time!

For those that are interested, I'll give a birth story. My OB and I decided on an induction at my appt. on Friday. I had been dilated to about 1.5 for 2 weeks now so he said it would be fine to induce. In fact, the Dr. was like, "Want to go to the hospital now?" Whoa!  Steve and I decided to give ourselves the weekend with Steven and also to hopefully go into labor on my own. We decided on an induction Monday morning, Sept 30th which was my actual due date.

40 Weeks! On the way to the hospital.
Of course nothing happened over the weekend (my body likes to hold onto babies apparently). So Monday morning we went in for the induction at 9:30am. It took a while to get settled, when they finally started me on pitocin and IVs everything got going around 10:30am. At first I was contracting but not feeling it at all. So that was a good sign. The nurse kept saying she wanted to see me in more pain. (gee thanks!). But seriously all the nurses at St. Luke's were amazing. They were so supportive and helpful. I really can't say enough about that. After being on pitocin a few hours they checked me again and I hadn't really made any progress. She said I was probably about 1.5 to 2 cm dilated but not much different than when I came in. Sometime in the later afternoon the Dr. called and wanted to know how much progress I was making. By this time I was contracting and feeling it at about 4 or 5 on the pain scale, so painful but not horrible. (at least that was my interpretation of 4/5). But I hadn't made much progress dilating. So the nurse said he wanted to send me home to try again another time but she really thought we hadn't given it enough time to know. I had been in painful contractions for a few hours at this point and really didn't want to leave and have to start all over. I agreed with her that I didn't think we gave it enough time but I thought if my Dr. wants me to leave then that's probably whats the best for me.

The Dr. actually called my room to talk to me and gave me the options to leave (which he recommended) or to stay and give it a few more hours then they could break my water. But he said if they break my water and nothing happens then I'm headed for a c-section after a certain amount of time due to risk of infection. I talked to the nurse and we agreed to try for 2 more hours and see if I'd made progress, and the Dr. agreed to this option. It was about 5pm at this point. So Steve and I walked the halls over and over and over trying to make some progress. Finally after 2 hours the nurse checked me and I was about 3cm dilated! That was progress so the Dr. said I could stay and they would break my water at 8pm. The nurse said this meant I wasn't leaving the hospital without my baby. I was so happy and excited!!

Of course, I was also really nervous. I had a really not great experience with Steven's birth and was in a ton of pain during labor and after so I was really nervous that I would have the same experience this time around. I was paranoid about the epidural and it not working like it did last time. I was also not wanting to get it too soon to slow down labor. So lots was going on! The nurses recommended I get the epidural before they break my water but I declined. I was trying to be tough and really wanted to be about 4 to 5 cm dilated before I got the epidural. Boy, was I wrong! Ha ha! Get the epidural before they break your water, if you have the chance because dang! It seemed like immediately after they broke my water the pain level went to 8 immediately. Like, super painful horrible contractions. The nurses again were awesome and made sure to contact the anesthesiologist right away which happened to be just before she was going into surgery (where she'd be unavailable for like 2 hours). I could not have imagined taking those painful of contractions for 2 more hours! OMG.

So the epidural went in and it was great this time. The anesthesiologist was really nice and understanding when I explained how I was nervous for what happened last time to happen again. So with the epidural in, I kept contacting for a few hours and was able to watch them on the monitor but not really feel them. That part is great! Over the next few hours, we had to do some adjusting of the epidural when I started to feel the contractions again a few times but everyone was really great in making sure it didn't get out of  control like it did last time. They checked me again and I remember being a 6 and then being a 9 not long after that. It was probably around midnight at that point. It was crazy how fast I dilated after they broke my water. The nurses said some people are like that, it takes them forever to get to 3 or 4 but once they get there its off to the races!!

I was ready to push but the nurse said we wouldn't start pushing till the Dr. got there. Steve and I both thought she was nuts but she said that she thought it was going to go fast this time. Boy was she right! I started pushing about 1:45am ish and in only 3 contractions (so 9 pushes) baby Logan was out!! I couldn't believe how fast it went and neither could Steve. We were both shocked! I don't know if it was related to not being in pain or being my second baby but I'll take it! I was even more shocked to hear from the Dr. that I didn't have any tearing. That was a huge blessing because I tore really badly with Steven which made recovery long and horrible.

They had a 2 hour recovery after labor where they check you and get your fluids back up and make sure your uterus is shrinking and blah blah. Then they make you try to stand up and go to the bathroom. Last time I couldn't even really stand up or walk on my own it was so painful. But this time I had no problem! It was amazing. I felt really good, sore but good. I can't believe what a different labor I had this time. I'm so glad! After that they moved us to a recovery room because of some construction going on in the hospital.

It was actually really nice to get into a clean room and try to get a bit of sleep. Of course we didn't get much at all! They think Logan may have taken a big gulp on his way out because he kept spitting up and didn't really want to eat. So that was concerning but Steven was the same way and he eventually woke up and ate so Steve and I weren't too worried. Eventually Logan did eat and we got back on track.

Family of 4!
The grandparents brought Steven up to the hospital and it was just too cute to see him with his brand new brother. They said he was missing us but he ran right by us to see the baby! We were old news! He was so happy, you could see it in his face. It was the cutest thing ever. We were so blessed to have a ton of friends and family visit us in the hospital. Everyone was excited to see Logan! He's so loved, lucky guy! Big bro was missing us though and I was feeling so good Steve and I decided to leave the hospital a day early. We were ready to be home with our big boy and baby boy!

Holding baby brother for the first time.
Like I said everythings been going really well so far. We are so lucky and blessed to have 2 beautiful boys!

2nd Time Around - 39 Weeks

To quote my Dr. this week, "Another week and you're still pregnant!" YEP. That's right. 39 weeks, due a week from last Monday and I'm "still pregnant". I'm huge and really uncomfortable at this point. These pictures are awful but true to life! I really look this tired.
Representing the Cardinals!
I did have some practice contractions/cramping this weekend. I thought it was the real thing but it went away. It did leave me almost unable to walk Sunday morning so that's awesome.

Holy baby bump!
I really expected to have this baby by now. So did my Dr. He said he was surprised I haven't gone into labor yet because most people go earlier with their 2nd one. Thanks for the encouragement, doc! I've really tried to maintain a positive attitude with this pregnancy but I am just D-O-N-E. Ready to be done being pregnant. There's just so much I can't do this big and uncomfortable. It's really hard trying to take care of Steven like this. But Hubby Steve has been really great lately letting me nap and trying to do things for me so I'm really appreciative of that.

Today, I heard the story today of a blogger that I follow who had her baby at only 26 weeks. The picture of the baby is SO sad. He is only 1lb 9oz. I don't know the situation or what happened but that is terrifying. So I'm really grateful to have a healthy, full term baby. Also, this weekend I had a really sweet moment with Steven. He woke up from his nap from a bad dream or something and was crying for me. I just held him for a bit and he asked me to "rock him in the chair". Which he never asks me to do anymore. I used to rock him to sleep in that chair all the time when he was a baby and it was just a really sweet moment. I rocked him back to sleep and then just held him for like 20 minutes thinking about how much I love him and how lucky I am to be his mom and have this sweet moment with him that I probably couldn't have had if I had a newborn right now. So those are two positive thoughts for the week. :)

In other happy news, my cousin, Kris had her baby last week. I'm so happy for her and Zach. They had a baby girl, Emelia Grace and she's beautiful.

Such a cutie!
I can't wait to go see her. They live about 2 hours away so I think I'll wait till I have Logan to go out there. (Won't that make for some super cute pictures?)

So I'm trying to maintain a positive attitude this week but hoping we will get to meet our little guy very soon!

2nd Time Around - 37 Weeks

Full term! Woot!! Its so awesome to have gotten to full term. I'm so glad that the baby could safely come any time now without any major developmental complications. So that is a huge blessing. I've heard about people going early with their second babies so I'm glad to have made it to this point!

I'm still feeling pretty good. Having the usual aches and pains that go along with carrying a full term belly around but mostly feeling good. I'm tired most of the time and have to pee every 5 minutes but considering all that I think I'm doing pretty well! The worst complaint I have is its so uncomfortable to lay down. My belly is so heavy and its impossible to move around in a bed normally. Its like having a huge bowling ball attached to the front of you that you can't move with any of your muscles. Its so weird. So that's made sleeping really difficult.

Excited big bro to be!

I have been really emotional lately too. I have been happy/upset/worried/angry all in the same day recently. I've been feeling overwhelmed with some things and that's not fun. I have been stressing about stupid things and I know its the hormones. But its still hard to manage those feelings. I got myself all worked up about things not being ready for the baby. Steve has been super supportive though and understanding. I'm really lucky. But I am happy to report that we've gotten most everything accomplished so I've been feeling much better lately. So that's good!

Steve and I have been getting really excited to meet Logan. Steven is getting excited too. He definitely knows where the baby is and loves to read his big brother books. He's been talking about about big brothers and I hear him using those words in his imaginative play. So those are all positive things! I think the transition will probably be tough but I hope we all can figure it out quickly!

In great news, I went to the Dr. Friday to get checked and was dilated to 1.5 so yay!! That never happened last time so I'm pretty excited. I hope that means things are moving in the right direction because momma's ready!!
