Steven at 15 Months

**Disclaimer - These are catch up posts from this summer that I wrote but didn't post. So this one would be August 2012, 15 months old.

Fifteen months old already and you are growing by leaps and bounds everyday! You are now 34 3/8 inches tall and weigh 27 lbs (97th and 80th percentiles!)!! You are learning new words and mastering the world around you all the time. You have developed a very social, outgoing and super cute personality too!! You love to run up to strangers everywhere (and I mean everywhere) and say "hi" to them (sometimes repeatedly). You love it when they say "hi" back and give the biggest smiles. You especially love to talk to pretty women. You get a big smile on your face and almost look like you are flirting! Ha ha! You're a lady killer already!

You also love to interact with other kids. The other day, you cornered a little girl at the park and gave her a big hug. You love to do that when you meet other kids too, you have a lot of love to give! Its so sweet.

You are learning new words like crazy. It seems like you just repeat things we say everyday. This month you are especially into saying "truck" and "bus". You will yell those out from your car seat whenever we pass one on the street. So smart!

You are really getting good at your motor skills too. You have learned to go down the steps to our basement standing up using the handrail. It's pretty incredible that you can do that. I guess it helps being so tall that you can reach the handrail!

We got some new neighbors next door a few months ago and they have dogs as well. You just love to go up to the fence and "play" with their dogs. You love to put your hands out and let them lick you. You'll also yell "stop!" and "shhhh" when dogs are barking...which is pretty hysterical.

You've definitely entered the "helpful" stage this month. You love to help empty the diswasher by getting out the silverware and bringing it to mommy. You like to start the dishwasher by pushing the button. You like to help with the laundry too by putting things in the dryer mommy hands you from the washer. It's pretty cute how much you love to help!

Probably your favorite thing to do this month is shutting doors. You go around shutting doors whenever one is open (mostly the front door). As soon as we go in somewhere you are shutting the door after us, same thing for when people come over. Too cute!

This month we took your first trip to the Missouri Botanical Gardens and you loved it. When we first walked in you saw the huge fountain and just went nuts! You loved running around the gardens and also had a great time going up to people saying "hi". One grandma even picked you up and you gave her a big hug! She said that just made her day. So sweet!

So 15 months old already and you are just the sweetest and smartest kid around! You love to be social with other kids, adults and especially ladies :). You love to help around the house, shut doors and play with the dogs. You are just such a blessing to us everyday, Steven!
