- We are making sure Steven is always sitting up correctly in his high chair and not reclining at all. To do this, we stuffed some kitchen towels under his seat for him to sit on and also a few behind his back. This way, we know for sure that he is in the correct, upright position and won't be gagging on anything due to leaning back.
- We are only trying certain foods that are recommended to start BLW with. We have had success with apples, steamed broccoli, ripe pear, ripe plum, apple, baked zucchini. We are also going to be trying roasted sweet potato wedges, cucumbers, melon and some toast sticks. Those are all recommended to start with and so far, so good. Once he gets the hang of actually swallowing food, we will move onto other things.
So wish us luck on our second attempt at BLW. Here are a few pictures from this week. So far, so good!
Checking out broccoli...
Decided he likes it
Yum!
Yummy, pear!
I never knew about the rice cereal trick. I'm going to have to remember that one!
